2024 #PrayForSnow Martini Party?
December 18, 2024 UPDATE
The 2024 Park City Martini Party is just a week away as this is typed and in all honesty it looks like we all need to be doing some Snow Dances and toasts to the Snow Gods to get some much needed Utah Pow. Regardless, the Martini Party will persevere as there are 2024 Martini Party Shirts, Stickers and some new SWAG that we’ll have at the party, wherever it may wind up. We’ll share location details here as we figure out the location for the party considering the current extreme low tide conditions, but please do plan to spend some of your Christmas Morning with us on the mountain, see you next week!
The 2023 Martini Party was another success, we just passed along $9200 to the Playing For Life Foundation and over $3,000 to the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History to assist in their campaign to restore the Silver King Mine!
Thank you to everyone that attended, donated, or just sent positive thoughts out to the 2022 Martini Party. We’ve added a few photos to the photo page and created a video page with a few video clips. We also dropped off a donation of over $10,000 to The People’s Health Clinic here in Park City – what a wonderful way to kick off 2023!
There are a lot of unique things about Park City.
It’s mining history with hundreds of miles of tunnels criss-crossing through the mountains.
The skiing history which dates backs to miners using long skis to more readily get to and from their work.
The 2002 Winter Olympics and the many, racers who learned how to bend a ski (or board) on the slopes once Park City Ski Area started spinning its lifts in 1963.
One tradition however continues year to year. This is, the one and only:
PARK CITY MARTINI PARTY!
T-shirt donations will go to support a great local cause – 2024 charities are decided and will be shared at the party.
Past recipients include:
Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History
Playing for Life Foundation
The People’s Health Clinic
Connect Summit County and Navajo Nation COVID
Peace House of Park City!
Primary Children’s Hospital
Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City
